Hi taking Hwy. 66 west from Longmont CO you come to the town of Lyons CO. A small but interesting town on your way to Estes Park CO. Hwy. 7 from Lyons is a scenic drive up past Allens Park and Lilys lake a must stop that has spectacular views of a 14 teener Longs Peak in the background. On the way up you might see Rcky. Mtn. Big Horn Sheep like I did yesterday . Fall is approaching us with Sept. around the corner, the gold colors of autumm from the quaking aspen trees are full of color in Colorado at this time of year. And finally you drop down into Estes Park a town that offers many things from hiking to trail rides, and fishing of course either at Lake Estes or the Big Thompson river that flows out of the dam on the east side of the lake. What ever you do Rcky.Mtn. National Park is a must see just west of town. take the time to smell the roses, you can't stop the dawn. Colorado

Also come Sept. 10-13 the annual Scottish Irish Highland Games for 2009 is great fun and entertainment with pipe and drum regiments. Take time to check out all the shelties and clans as they march with the bagpipes, what a show.
