We are visiting my dad in Kyle, Tx (near San Marcos) and looking to find a campground with 2 sites close enough to the water to easily access and use a hobiecat, sea-do, and a couple of kayaks. We're looking for a place not more than an hours drive. LBJ, Canyon Lake, and Lake Travis are where we are primarily looking. We will be taking a 38' 5th Wheel and 40' Motorhome and need E/W (sewer not necessary). Both drivers are very experienced in parking in tight spots with narrow roads so if they allow it, we can maneuver our way in. A few that look like they 'might' work are Emma Long (Lake Austin), Pace Bend (LCRA- LT), Potters Creek (COE- CL) and Campers Resort (private -LT). I've not seen any of these so please comment w/any advice or even recommendations for other parks that could work for us. Thanks!

It has been quite a while since I've been there but Potters Creek should work fine for you.

Potters Creek. You may want to check lake levels and also be aware there is a burn ban.

FYI, we've been in the Austin area for the last week and its summer. The temps have been in the low to mid 90's already.

Thanks for the response. We are going to Potters tomorrow and try to find 2 spots together. Hopefully one will be a water site. It looks like they have family sites that might work but I'm not sure where they are located. The lady that answered the phone didnt know much at all. Had no idea how many or what sites were available.
