How do people find free camping places to stay in LHC? I was there last week and there appeared to be a lot of places to boondock. Is there a good source or map to find these places? I'm just talking about staying for a few days or week - not snowbirding (though I assume the places will be the same).

Here's one source. The surrounding lands are BLM lands so you could also stop in the local office for help.

There are many places to dry camp on State Route 95 just north and south of Lake Havasu City. We are in this area for the winter, our sixth year!!

Here's the correct link for Campground Views. The one given above has a spelling error (campground 'g').

Sign up at campendium.com. Lots if BLM suggestions (as well as other places to stay) and reviews. Just type in a location name and away you go. You can filter results to free parking, state parks, casinos and lots of other things.
