lake mead campgrounds

I know there's a hand full campgrounds there but I'm looking for one this summer that will accommodate rv's and tents in the same site with hookups. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chuck

Better check the weather atLake Mead. Went to get the boy at Valley of Fire one July,124 in the shade (on shade). He said the water was hot to six feet deep. Good luck

I agree with Glen Taylor. It will be scorching hot out at the Lake. I would only go if I had a boat. There is no grass at the campgrounds to pitch a tent on, it is dirt. You cannot be sure if there will be shade from trees so an awning is a must. It gets even hotter at the Lake and the Colorado River Valley (Laughlin, Willow Beach, Cottonwood Cove) than it does in Las Vegas during the summer.
