Smile Lake murray state park, oklahoma

One of our favorite places to camp is Lake Murray State Park, 7 miles south of Ardmore, OK and 24 miles north of the Texas border. fishing, hiking... awesome camp ground on the lake.

Lake Murray is a wonderful campground...no matter what your hobbies may be. Close enough to good restaurants and other places to visit.

This lake is about an hour and a half from the house and has become our preferred weekend escape.
ATV trails on the north side of the lake.
Hiking/bike trails on the west side.
Also, if you're into Geocaching, there are probably around 20 or more caches on the west side hiking trails.

Some nice campsites along the shore! But be careful... the wind can turn fierce in a heartbeat. We lost an awning just like that.
