Hey, 1st post! Welcome to iRV2, Camperc.

This CG has been on my list of places to go for a few years now. It's gotten consistently high reviews on this website.

I'm interested to find out if any of our members have been there & what they think.

Hey Camperc!

If you are looking to be in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country, Old Mill Stream at Lancaster and Roamer's Retreat in Kinzers, both on US 30 are fine CG's.

I'm a little partial to OMS. It has a unique layout, in that you park parrallel to the roadway. Most of it is under shade trees so Sat. TV may be a problem but there is CATV. Adjacent to the CG is Dutch Wonderland amusment park - within walking distance.

Farther east from Lancaster, closer to Paradise and Intercourse, (and I'll not mention Blue Ball ) is Roamer's Retreat. Open and shaded camping and in the midst of true Amish farmland.

You can spend a week in Lancaster County and only begin to cover the sights there.

Hi Ding a Ling

Thanks for the info. We were at Old Mill Stream about 20 odd years ago, and yes it is nice, but no pool. We,ll look at Roamer's Retreat,a little farther out is Drummerboy and thats on the list also.
Thanks again

Camperc, unless I'm mistaken, Drummer Boy is in Gettysburg, not Lancaster. Gettysburg is a nice area in its own right with plenty to do, but it's about a 50 or 60 mile drive to the Amish areas around Lancaster (through areas that sometimes have heavy traffic) if Lancaster is your intended destination.
