Lake Pend Oreille Camping

We are thinking of catching what will probably be the last of the warmer season camping around Lake Pend Oreille in mid to late September. We hope someone can recommend a campground for our motor home (37' DP). We will not be fishing but may do some on water exploring-so we'd like to have our boat nearby. We have two well behaved dogs that we pick up after. Hookups would be a bonus, but we can live by recharging every third day or so- off our genset. Recommendations are appreciated.

I couldn't find any state parks close by so I put this link to different private parks near the area. I hope it helps.

The Corps of Engineers have some nice campgrounds on the lake:

Corps Lakes Gateway: Idaho - Lake Pend Oreille
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WHOHOO, what a ride!"
