Lake Tahoe California

Hello Folks,

My husband and I are planning a visit to the Lake Tahoe area in mid August. We have a 45' motor home and we are looking for a full hook-up (50 amp preferably) RV campground. We are looking for all suggestions.

Thank you.

Leslie

How far out do you want to stay? It has been a LONG time since we have been around the Lake, but there is a nice RV park right at the border of California and Nevada. I do not remember the name but it is on the north side of Highway 80.
Have fun and safe travels!

There is an RV park in South Lake Tahoe. It can handle your MH with no problem. A bit expensive though. Just can't remember the name of the place. Turn at the U-Haul place and follow the signs. Enjoy.

There are not many parks in that area that can handle a 45' coach. I think the following might be able to:
Tahoe Valley RV Resort | Encore RV Resort in California | Lake Tahoe

Ha ha, that's the one I was thinking about. Just couldn't remember the name. Nice place. They have a swimming pool too. Walking distance from Starbucks, pizza place and market, if your inclined.

We usually stay at Tahoe Valley at south shore. They do have some 50 amp and can accommodate 45'ers but you should make reservations if going in August. There's also Zephyr Cove on the Nevada side. I'd suggest reservations for them also.

Zephyr Cove, probably the biggest and can handle anything on the east side of the lake near the road going down the hill to Reno.
