Does the new Boardwalk go as far as Lakewood or Ocean Lakes? If not how long a beach front walk up to the boardwalk?

Its a pretty far hike. Approx 4 miles. And the boardwalk is 1.2 miles and 1.2 miles back. So...your looking at 10 plus miles round trip!

Been there and done that and will never go back. This is one of the dirtiest campgrounds I have ever stayed at. 10-12 year olds driving golf carts everywhere, so much for there rules.

we stayed there for MB bike week. we were two camp sights in from the water. Had a great time there. I just wish that they would let me take my Harley into the camp sight. The only time ur aloud is during bike week.

I've been to Lakewood several times and we're heading out Saturday to arrive there on Sunday. There aren't too many ocean front campgrounds on the east coast. 40 yard walk to the beach, 83 degree water, a good book, an umbrella and a frozen lemonade.

Todd, I agree. We were on the ocean front site right beside the road and it was constant golf carts with teens. No motorcycles, but that annoyance was OK, even though they weren't old enough to drive them. I'm surprised there aren't some accidents or injuries. We always prefered Pirateland.

Did a drive thru Lakewood a few years back and was alarmed by the amount of golf carts buzzing around. And the the fact they had the presumed "right of way" over everything. Found MB Travel Park to be much more laid back.

Over time I have stayed at all the big 5 MB parks. Might try the State Park the next time
