If anyone is interested and is coming to Lancaster PA, A great place to stay is Country Haven Campground. It is Big Rig friendly, has all full 50 AMP hookups, and most importantly,,,, It's QUIET! I can't believe how quiet and peacefull this place is. It's not an overly big place and the owners take a lot of pride in it and it shows.
This is our first time here and it was a late holiday booking, I'm glad we got in and I'll be sure to be coming back.!
Hope this helps anyone coming this way!
Regards,
RovinOn

We go there every year for a weeks stay. Very quiet and peaceful and best of all---it,s only a few miles from Shady Maple, one of the best smorgasbords around.

You are paying for the view, it is really great. However, there are quieter campgrounds in Lancaster Co. at a much cheaper price. I would stay at Country Haven Campground if money was no object.

OK, I'm planning to spend some time in Lancaster PA in 2-3 weeks. I stayed there 3 years ago and forgot the name of the place I stayed. I loved it as it was south of the town and also very quiet but close to the area attractions. Palpatine, if you could offer some other suggestions I would like to look into them as well.

Try Spring Gulch right down the road from Country Haven. Very large place with great sites on the mountain. We are going there next week.
Here is their link Spring Gulch Resort Campground | Pennsylvania RV Campground, RV Camping, Tent Camping

We took our maiden voyage to this campground. Found it to be very clean and friendly.
Took a few mile walk through farmland where the powerlines stop, very different lifestyle, people would just wave and nod their head as they passed us in their horse and buggy! They probably were wondering what us knuckle heads were doing out in the middle of their corn and tabacco feilds!
