As I can surmise from Google Earth, Laredo is not "Squatter" friendly?

Almost all land in Texas is privately owned. Not like Az, Nv, UT etc. Also Boondocking that close to the Texas border may be inviting problems. I'm comfortable near the border over towards Big Bend though.
