If you are looking for a one night stop as described above then most any of the Las Vegas area campgrounds will work. Pick the part of the city you would like to visit or is convenient for your overnighter.
If you are actually going to be there for a longer term then the Oasis is likely your best bet unless you have a pretty deep wallet and you can choose what used to be the Outdoor Resorts, and used to be a Monaco Signature Resorts and is now Las Vegas RV Resort. It runs $50-$100/night but it is very, very nice.
Both Oasis and Las Vegas Resorts are at the South end of town with Oasis being about 5 minutes closer. Farther out from town is the Sam's Town RV park which is not a gated resort but is a very nice campground at a more affordable daily cost. A less "nice" campground is right at the edge of downtown (old Las Vegas) and is well kept and affordable. I would not look here for longer term but great for a short term convenient RV park.
Most of the RV parks in Vegas have been closed due to "progress" so your selections are pretty limited.
If you ever need to make an overnight stop in Vegas and don't mind dry camping, you can park behind Bally's right on the strip! You will find us there New Year's eve.....

The Las Vegas RV Resort is NOT in a good part of the city...
The Oasis is a much better location near the south end of the strip and right off the Hiway. Over the overpass to the Silverton Casino (great buffet) & the Bass Pro Shop (even if you don't fish or hunt, this is a neat place to see. It's huge!)

Call Main Street Casino and ask for the Hotel... Plus VERY LOW PRICE.. Plus: Just off "The Freemont Street Expierence" (I walked to it)
Minus, Next door to main bus terminal, Fire Department and a freeway (Elevated) and an off ramp.
Also, the neighborhood is not as nice as some parks (Say Oasis down off the road to Parhump, and I-15 at the south end of the strip)
However if you return to your rig after dark, on foot, hotel security WILL accompany you (he rides a bicycle) Very friendly guards when I was there.
If staying in Vegas.. Be sure to visit Bally's (It's really in Paradise) and support my daughter's employer (She's a dealer)
And if you see a White Dodge pick up with a sign on the side and fresh damage.....
Las Vegas police are looking for the hit and run driver who ran into my daughter a couple of days ago.

I did not want to fight the traffic in Vegas so we stayed at Terribles RV park in Pahrump, NV. It is one hour north of vegas and is a beautiful park with great rates.
Just another option

I have stayed at Oasis, (Very nice, Nicest RV park I have seen in Vegas, butg I stayed on a pull through site, Very expensive, Back in or nose-tail sites are cheeper) Main Street, (Nice Price and I don't mind the noise (HINT, Run an air conditioner, even if on FAN ONLY mode, high speed will drown most of that) As I listed pluses and minuses above)
Grand Circus KOA.. Typical of KOA the prices are fairly high, Free Wi=Fi though, and the parking is,, Well, a paved lot,, Nothing more Full hookup 30 amps as I recall.
Hidden Village (I think they are history village now, closed) and Thousand Trails (next door, or nearly next door) which is a membership park.
I've also spent a few days at the MOOSE,, if you are a member
I would call Oasis "on the strip" plus when I was there (Ownership changes on occasion) it was owned by Harrah's so they had shuttle service to all the Harrah's casinos..... And my daughter works at Bally's... which is a Harrah's property (or ... see "ownership changes" above) was when I was there last.
The common building at Oasis is first rate too ("Family center")
Sam's Arizonia Charlie's and a couple other Casino's have parking as well.

Ditto on Terribles Lakeside RV Park in Pahrump. We stay there for a month beginning tomorrow as a matter of fact. Only 70 easy miles to LV.
