Las Vegas overnight

Anybody have a recommendation on a campground there, preferably on the N E side of town ? We have no interest (won't be able to) see any shows or such, we'll just be visiting family. Probably just one night. We don't like "parking lot" style places, would rather have something to look at such as trees... I like my cable tv at night, but guess all we need is 30A , water, and sewer. Thanks bunches,,, Monkey

If your coming from Califorina on 80 an as you get into Nevada a good place to stay is in "Boon Town" they have a nice R.V. park their and they have a place where you can dry camp for the knight.
Juat a thought.

The last time we were thru there for a one night stay we stayed at Sam's Town RV park on Boulder Hwy & Flamingo, and were pleasantly surprised. It is your typical parking lot, but it's clean and well maintained and nice area for Vegas. It is east of the center of the Strip. This was last August so it was HOT. We got 2 free breakfast buffet's, and 1/2 off the dinner buffet after joining their players club. Then waddled on home the next morning. I think it is my new preferred spot in Las Vegas.

We stay in LV frequently and I also suggest Sam's Town for your stay. Easy to get to and a decent urban park. Friendly staff.

LVM........Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort. The best class A resort we have ever stayed at. The palm tree grounds, mini pools & hot tubs & facilities are among the best we have ever seen. We thought we were in Palm Beach. Was built by Monaco before they went bankrupt. It is an ownership resort but they have sites that are resort owned that are rented out. It is just outstanding!!!!!!!!!

There are many parks.. N.E. would be teh Thousand Trails park if they have space.. North center (OLD las Vegas) would be Main Street Casino (not far away) this is on main, just north of Freemont, in fact Main St casino is a "Freemont St" Casion.. I do not knwo if they still have an RV park but call the hotel and find out.

The park is next to the central bus station for the city busses, also the fire deptarment and a freeway so if you park there run yoru air conditioner blower on HIGH, even if you don't run the compressor run the blower on HIGH to block much of the outside noise.

In my case.. I lived 2 blocks off a main highway.. Same noise, so it don't bother me. They are very reasonable.

If you return on foot to your RV at night Security WILL escort you.. For your own safety.. I will warn you about that, Nice security folks.

If you are only staying for one night you might try what I did. I parked in front of our son's house in Sunderland Village and ran an extension cord from his house to the RV. I even put the levelers down and opened the curb side slide.

Most HOA's allow it for one night.
