As soon as my DH gets home we are heading for Williamsburg, VA for our clubs Christmas party and the Grand Illumination. Looks like the weather is going to change and get a little cooler....I hope. Using the air conditioning here in Dec. is a first. The weekend on Dec. 15 we are heading to NYC to see the "lights and sights" of the Big Apple. We will be staying at Liberty Park within 20 min. to downtown. Sure looking forward to seeing Christmas in NY.

Glenda:

Sounds great. DW and I plan to do the Williamsburg thing for Grand Illumination perhaps next year. This year we are visiting family in Richmond and then spending the week after in Myrtle Beach.

Do you need to reserve an RV site for the time of Grand Illumination or are there usually plenty of spaces?

Say hello to Jennifer and Willow if you see them.

glenda, THANKS for your comment about wanting cooler weather here in Virginia BEACH.....BEACH, GET IT!!

We're not supposed to have this cold weather here!

I'm glad you guys were able to do the Illumination, that's something we've not done in a long time....

Gary, I would imagine you'd need reservations a good bit ahead of time for the campground as I'm sure they'd fill for that...
Maybe see when the "earliest" possible date you're able to make the reservations?

You are right about needing reservations. They had us (10 coaches) and another larger group(20 +) besides the many singles that were there. We have already made our clubs reservations for next year They asked us if we wanted to have first dibs for the weekend. We had the use of a great room with a big fireplace. There was a small kitchen that had a fridge and sink, but no stove, but there were plenty of outlets for electric skillets and hot plates. Since they are open all year, I am sure if you want to make a reservation now they would take it. Had a great time.

glenda, I'm glad you and Phil are home safe....

I'm off on Sunday to Wilmington for some camera work on my "new to me" trailer, then headed to Arkansas to bring my DD and SIL back to Virginia.
I'm off to Florida on the 5th....headed to a Newmar Klub Rally and then the Tampa Super Show on the 16th.
