We'll be in the Lebanon area in early October for about 2 weeks, and are looking for a campground/park that will fit a 40-foot MH.

Most of the ones I've found indicate they're closing by 1 October. Do they lock the doors/gates or just pull up the high-season welcome mats?

Any suggestions for day-trips while we're there?

Thanks!
Ron

Ron,
Let me fist say,I've never stayed at or am familiar with these campgrounds. Now having said that,I did a search on woodalls for campgrounds that accomodate big rigs and are within 25 miles of Leabanon, NH.

There were 3 and their websites are 1. www.mascomalake.com (closes mid Oct) 2. www.pinevalleyrv.com (closes last weekend in Oct) 3. www.lakechampagne.com (closes Oct 15). #2 + #3 are in VT.

Not sure where you live or are coming from but unfortunately for those of us in this part of the country the camping options are almost non-existent after Columbus Day.

Hopefully someone that has camped in this area will respond soon.

Many thanks to you, Bob. I guess here's hoping I can find them, and find them open!

And I'm going to make a note to self to send a report about them when I get there, to help others.

Can't wait to see your fall-foliage!

Ron

Here are websites for camping in NH and VT. Although many campgrounds do close on or before Columbus Day, there are quite a few still open into late October.

www.ucampnh.com

www.campvermont.com

These sites are also useful in finding things to do and places to go.

Fall is our favorite time of year here. You're in for a real treat!

Ron

I just called today for reservations at Sugar Ridge RV Park in Vermont. We leave there October 11th so I would guess they are still open at least til then.

We also have a 40 footer.
