Length restrictions at Yellowstone?

I have a question about length restrictions at Yellowstone Campgrounds, We have a 2002 28 ft Safari Trek, the actual bumper to ladder length is 29' 6" we are booked into 3 of the campgrounds inside Yellowstone in August, and reserved 30 ft spaces when we made our reservations several months ago. Since then I have added a rear hitch mount spare tire carrier that extends the length of the rear most point of our motorhome by several inches, putting our overall length a few inches past 30 ft. Do you think this will be a problem at the Yellowstone campgrounds? I ask because as part of the confirmation email they send out a notice warning about arriving with equipment other than described in the reservation.

No problem, you won't have an issue. Campgrounds are a bit tight, so watch your corners! Enjoy, Yellowstone is a magical place!

What campgrounds? We just left there. A week in Bridge Bay and a week in Madison. Madison had far larger sites and most were level. On the other hand Bridge Bay was tight and 2/3's of the sites were not level. As long as you booked a 30' site your fine as fitting in. The question at BB will be getting a semi-level site. Best to arrive earlier in the day to get a better site.

Fishing Bridge you have no issues. The full service sites are close together, but all of them can handle s 35' rig. The back loop is much more dusty with its gravel roads than the front loop with its paved roads.

The Canyons Campground is very heavily wooded and hilly. Kind of a crap shout there. When we drove thru that one on Memorial Day weekend there was still 2'-4' snow in each site edge. The campsite were plowed out, many of the tables were covered.

I was worried myself ( 25' trailer and truck ) but had to lie that I had a 14' tow vehicle to be under the 40' limit. I saw many 35'+ 5ers pulled by trucks. They do with a iron fist make sure "all" wheels of the RV and tow vehicle are on the pavement.

Those few extra inches aren't going to matter a bit. They're not going to measure you. Enjoy your stay!!

8 earth quakes in the last two days and the last time it erupted they can track the ash from Southern California to Canada to the Bahamas.

I don't think being there or not will really make a difference if it blows...

btw, was just there and it's incredible so go!

They average 5 earthquakes a day in The Yellowstone area. No big deal. The last active volcanos were 600,000 years ago. When we were there a few weeks back the was a Geyser vent that went from 4" to 20' over a two day period.

Two weeks wasnt even enough time to see everything.

If fishing bridge is in your plans worry more about how wide you are than how long. It is tight tight tight. I was looking at my 5er the other day and still have scars from that site.
