Letchworth State Park, NY

Headed out to Letchworth SP on Friday for 5 days. Have two of my sons and Grandkids joining us. Should be a great time, lots of hiking.

One of my favorite places in the fall!

I used to live in Rochester before moving to Southern California and spent a lot of time in the southern tier.

Have a great time and safe travels.

That is a fantastic place to go to. We went there 2 yrs ago and loved it. We'll be up that again for the fourth of July and a family reunion in Bath NY. Have a safe trip and enjoy. Jim

Had a great 5 days of camping. This is a view of the Middle Falls below the Glen Iris Inn.

We left there jus' last week. When we lived up here we went there often. Nice nostalgic stay. They need an infrastructure improvement though...electric is a bit outdated. You know NS is replacing the trestle over the gorge?

We're now at Hamlin Beach SP 40 miles north. They spent billions upgrading the 'lectric in this park. Much better...most sites have 50-30-20 all underground.

We stayed in the 700 loop to get 30 Amp electric. The electric is outdated and the roads are terrible. In the State of taxes, you would think the State Parks would be in better shape.
We didn't get up to the trestle this time and didn't realize they were replacing it.

We are going to Hamlin SP next month. Taking off for Limekiln SP tomorrow morning for our annual father-daughter weekend! My daughter is four. She's really excited!

Any tips on driving 40' Motorhome through the park. Heard there was bus parking right after the museum, but didn't know which entrance best...Castile? Anyone drive a big rig through the park? Heard big rigs should avoid Portage rd on south end. Suggestions? Coming up from Houghton, NY. No tow vehicle this trip. Thanks!
