Cool Lincoln, NM

We are planning a trip to the home of Billy the kid in Lincoln county NM, This is our 2nd trip in our coach. We pull a 23 foot car hauler and our Question Is: Have any of you stayed in that area and where would you recommend, our total lenght is 63 feet. We have looked at a multitude of parks in the area from Carlsbad to Roswell to Ruidosa to Alamagordo.
Your thoughts are apprciated!

Maybe a little out of your way. I like Bottomless Lakes SP E. of Roswell south off of 380.

I'm ready to give you some help, but I really need to find out what time of the year you are going, whether you prefer desert or mountains, trees or cacti!

We are heading down to the area in late April, As far as what type of park and type of geographical area, really don't care, we are high desert people, just don't want to pull and discover not enough room for the 63 footer. We won't be in the park during the day, we are explorers. Thank for the reply!!!!!!!!!!

Valley Of Fires (maybe BLM just west of Carrizozo) is our favorite in the area. It is an rv park island in the middle of lava flow. Should be perfect this time of year. Lincoln is 25-30 miles away, Three Rivers Petroglyph Nat'l park is 30ish miles away.

Look at Circle B RV Park in Ruidoso. Best park in area with big sites.

We have stayed at both of these parks and would recommend them.

Valley of Fires Recreation Area

~ 4 miles west of Carrizozo.
