Living Waters Campground

Searched thru the Campground section and could not find anything on this campground. It is located near Bakersville, NC. They say they can handle our 42 ft MH. They have 50 amp service. Headed that direction the end of June.

Does anyone know about this campground? Are the roads/bridges/overpasses on the two lane road okay for our MH? How about the road leading into the campground?

Any input will be appreciated.

I don't know the campground it have been around the Bakersville/Spruce Pine/Roan Mountain area many times. It's a beautiful part of the country but you will be on 2 lane somewhat narrow roads. Call the campground with your height and weight and ask for the best route. While you're in the area be sure to check out Boone and Blowing Rock. A visit to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Land Harbor are worthwhile.

Thanks for the tips. We plan to take in all those sights you recommend too. Because that is the 4th of July holiday we can only find sites at Tom Johnson campground (and it's not real close) and Living Waters. The others closer to Bakersville, NC are booked.

Having 50 amp service is a good thing as that would mean to me they are used to some big rigs. Common sense has known to back-fire though, good luck and have a good time. Jim
