The problem is not the lobster...it is all that melted butter you dip it in!!!

The DW was born and raised in ME but does not like clams or lobster. I guess that's her loss and my gain. I think we went to ME every summer for 40 + years to visit her family. Every trip we would head to the coast dug enough clams to feed everybody and bought lobsters at the local co-op took it all back to Dover (30 miles north of Bangor) and had a feast. I've never gotten tired of lobster or clams. I'm getting hungry.

Even with a "family connection" to the business, we can't John to ship a few hundred pounds to us here in southwest CO ...

We also have friends in the fishing business in Alaska (where we moved from), but THEY won't send a crate of halibut of salmon our way...

They actually expect us to come visit! Can you believe it??

I can't think of a better way to die than death by lobster (with plenty of melted butter of course). A lobster feast once a year is the reason I eat oatmeal for breakfast everyday anyway.

Pagosajoe, http://www.trentonbridgelobster.com has the best darn lobsters and they ship anywhere FedEx delivers in CO. It's not cheap but what do you expect for live lobsters and little neck clams delivered to your door in the Rocky Mountains.

Two Simvastatin tabs crushed in clarified butter ain't bad either.

Last fall the commercial price of lobster was a tad less than $3.00 a pound. In some of the local lobster pounds you could get two, pound and a half lobsters for $14.95. I know that lobster is high in cholesterol but how often do ya get to Maine?

Next trip, I'll take my own lobster pot and tools, load the Simvastatin in a Pez dispenser and then singlehandedly try to put those tasty crustaceans on the endangered species list.

We are almost across the street from Trenton Bridge at Narrows Too and will be eating lobster at the Bridge today

We enjoyed Trenton Bridge too but there are better options as to price. My bride got a 3 1/2 pounder there.
