Looking Daytona Beach or vicinity

Looking to rent long term or possibly purchase an rv site in the Daytona Beach area...

Have a son in school down there and he's going to try and finish in three years by going in the summers,so I'd like to have a place to drop the jacks when we go see him....

Anyone have any experience with campgrounds in the Daytona Beach or surrounding area?

Every day when I'd go home from work when I lived in Daytona Beach, I'd drive by the Town & Country RV Park which is at the corner of Tomoka Farms Rd and US 92. All those years I'd notice that often the same rigs would be in that park on a seasonal basis. You might want to contact them to see if they'll work out something special for you.

There's also a few more campgrounds scattered around the area, Nova Family CG and Daytona Beach CG toward the south end and an Encore Park at the north. Also, just west of the Town & Country CG there's a new one called International RV Park.

There's more in the area but the ones I listed are the ones closest in proximity to ERAU.

Now looks like we'll rent long term,at least for the first year....Don't want to buy something without "trying it out" and making sure the site is acceptable...

Will probably go down in a few weeks,between the Mid-Atlantic in PA and the Staunton Rally and check some places out...

If you don't need to be in the "immediate" Daytona Beach area you might want to check out The Great Outdoors RV Resort in Titusville. It's off I-95 about 50 miles south of the I-4 junction.

Thanks for the TGO suggestion Bob....

The DW and I were there some 12 years ago and although I'm 12 years older,the folks there are too....

Just about to hit 50 and while the TGO is a VERY nice place,I felt it catered to the over 70 crowd....

If I were to want to buy there,I'd not be eligible for five years...
