Looking for a campground in Tallahassee

We will be going to visit family in Tallahassee at the end of the year. Can anyone recommend a good campground (state, federal, or private)?

Mickael

There are two Campgrounds in Tallahassee. One, Tallahassee RV Park 850/878-7641 is located on the East side of town right off I-10 at 6504 Mahan Dr (highway 90). About 1/2 miles off the interstate.

The other is Big Oak RV Park 850/562-4660 is located North (West) of town off I-10 at hightway 27 north exit. About 3 miles nort of the interstate.

I have never stayed at either since I live here but both can handle RVS your size. Nither, in my opinion, is anything to brag about, but both are close in.

Any other CG around here is way out of town (on the coast) and back towards Jefferson county off I-10 s/Toby

We have stayed at Big Oak. Lot of seasonals, but pretty nice people there. We only overnighted. It was fine - FHU and pull throughs. Did not have to unhitch.

We also had a good short stay at Big Oak ... 4024 N Monroe St ...two nights for us. Easy access, and decent place to stay. Our rooftop sat dish was blocked by a large tree, but that would not be the case in all sites.

Thanks for all the responses. I am not a Moose, so that's out. Big Oak is less than a mile from my brother's house, according to Googlemaps, so that looks like the one I am going to use.

Surprisingly, they don't have an email address posted on their web site.
