One reviewer put it perfectly; sorry I didn't think to mention this but I'll reiterate the thought of another reviewer.

Great campground for a few nights, (or week) as you explore Savannah. It is not a destination campground however.

I'd say that nails it.

You'll love Savannah or at least we did. Not so much for kids but if you are interested in history, you'll have a great visit.


Yep my fav!! I didn't have a toad and I called Oglethorpe tours.. Paid for 2 day tour and scheduled them to pick me up and we called when we wanted to go back.... Absolutely love love Red Gate and I love Oglethorpe.

We stayed at Skidaway State Park and Enterprise met us there with a car an hour after we arrived, then dropped us back there 10 days later.
