Are you looking for 2016? Because Tampa is booked pretty darn solid for 2015.

In south Florida, in January and February, "nice" and "won't break the bank" are subject to interpretation. There will still be availability but you need to do your research now and book something. If I were looking, I would use the Allstays app for pads and look at the map for the area you are interested in. Read the reviews and start making phone calls.

Inland is cheaper and the closer you get to the coast the more expensive. For reliably warm weather look south of the Calusahatchee River which is about 120 miles south of the intersection of I75 and I4.

Good luck.

Hi tom41,
Tampa East might have something. Go to Tampa East and check it out.

Have you considered Lazy Days? Nice place and fairly reasonable.

Check E.G. Simmons, Lithia Springs and Edward Medard- Hillsborough county parks... usually spots available... might be a restriction on duration before having to move. Little Manatee River State park is nearby and may also have open spots.

Anyone have any info about the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds campground in Dover FL? They say they have full hookups with gravel sites for $25 a night. I can't find any reviews for them. And no Camping info on their web site. http://hillsboroughcountyfair.com

I have been to Bay Bayou and it was pretty good. Another one that is usually off the radar is the Silverdollar about another six miles out. It has golf and a skeet shooting range.
