Check out Lake in Wood. It's located in Narvon Pa not far from Lancaster. It's one of our favorites.

Thanks for suggestions, I have followed up with both parks to see if they can take us in September. Appreciate the tip.

If you are ever in the Asheville NC area check out Rutledge Lake RV Park, I am a work kamper there this summer and it is a really nice facility and close to all that Asheville has to offer

Country Acres in Bird-in-Hand is a nice CG, a good amount of amenities. Country Haven in New Holland is a quiet CG, no amenities except Wi-Fi. But gorgeous views.
Southern Maine there is Sabago Lake. A little pricey but lots to do there. In Boothbay, Shore Hills CG. I love the Boothbay area and have been here many times.
Good luck with your plans.

Sunset Point Campground is a lovely place. The sunset over a muddy bay at low tide was unique to us, as was the clammers plying their trade. And the campsites were very well kept, and had a roof over the picnic tables. Very down-home, inexpensive, and with very gracious and helpful hosts.

Acadia Park is grand. Don't miss it. If you only do Bar Harbor, you don't see the REAL Maine. Bar Harbor is just another place to get chinese t-shirts of a different color for too much moolah, and very crowded.
Machias, Eastport, Whiting etc, are further along the coast. Lower prices during peak season cuz there are so few tourists that go there. Blueberries $2.75 a qt. Great lobster rolls, 2 for $12, lobster right off the boat. We go out to eat where the locals do, not the tourists.
Just sayin....
