We are going down to the Builtmore Estate Tour next Monday. We will leave Sunday and return home Tuesday.
I see there are a number of CG's around Asheville. We've haven't been to that area and are unfamiliar with the CG's...
Looking for a (Reasonably) priced CG, Any help here would be greatly appreciated...
Bill

I can say Mountain Stream if still open for the season over at Marion is absolutely nice. When we went to Biltmore we used Buck Creek in Marion. Both Mountain Stream and Buck Creek are on the same road which is where Tom Johnson Camping Center is located as well. We have also heard great things about Mama Gerties Hideaway but never stayed there.

Check out Mama Gertie's. Less than 10 miles away from Biltmore.

Be sure to call ahead and tell them what kind of equipment you have. The campground is up the side of a hill. The sites are all terraced. They will put you in the appropriate site. Very nice campground.

I looked at the campground reviews.

Mama Gerties and Mountin Stream were listed.
I will give them each a call. As we have no pets, Mountain Stream would not be a problem as was printed in the review. Mam Gerties sites being cut into a hill doesn't sound too inviting, but I call them anyhow... And thanks for the input...

We stayed at Mama Gertie's this past August for 3 days/nights while visiting Asheville and felt the campground was wonderful. We have a 24 foot travel trailer. They have a number of pull thru sites for big rigs. It is on the side of a hill but less than one mile from I40. The people were great. The place is spotless. We will go back there again.
