Tugaloo State Park on Lake Hartwell at the Lavonia exit off I-85 and follow the signs.

or... exit at the first exit in Georgia and turn left. Go to Hartwell (city) and follow US 29 toward Hartwell Dam and stay at Watsadler COE CG there at the Ga end of the dam. Beautiful CG. Neat and clean.

The Corp of eng park just west of Gainsville. Called Ducket Mills. One of the best CGs around. Straight shot to Atl on Hw 400 from the CG. If you have the Golden age its only $8 a nite. All sites waterfront overlooking Lake Lanier. I think its on Hw 53 west. s/Toby

Just off I-85 on Lake Hartwell at Anderson, SC there is a KOA but I prefer going towards Clemson and staying at the Army Corp park. Very nice and on the lake. Plenty of sites.
