Looking for ideas for summer trip in the southeast with the kids

like it says I need ideas for a trip in he southeast Fl,Ga,Al,la, even the Carolinas. trip will be for my 6 year old twins, so swimming pools and nice playgrounds are a must. Water parks are a bonus. the only other requirements are my motorhome is 52' and I pull a 30' stacker that I can unhook when needed. we have close to a 2000 mile range on the full tank.

thanks for the help

Nate

If you have the funds, the nicest place down there for the kids is the Disney camp ground.

It's very hard to beat the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area in the Southeast for things to do with 6 year olds. I remember feeding a bear there a Coca-Cola--in 1953.

They've got an abundance of putt putt golf, go cart tracks, amusement parks and incredible shopping for the mothers. Many think Dollywood is the #1 amusement park in the U.S. for children--sorry Disney.

The Smokies are incredibly beautiful, and the mountain people of East Tennessee are great. It is the #1 most visited National Park for a reason.

And best of all, you don't have to go all the way to Florida and back. It's within a day's drive for 1/2 of the U.S. population.

Topsail Hill

My vote is Topsail Hill in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Beautiful beach, fabulous campsites and lots to do in the area for 6 year olds!!

Wow, never mind about the funds. I wonder if Ft. Wilderness has something big enough for you. We will be there at the end of the month.
