Question Looking for recommendations in Ohio, mid July?

Well, Christmas has passed.....so all we can think about is our next RV trip. We've planned a two week jaunt mid July from Gettysburg, to meeting up with the kids at Cedar Point......but we have four nights after that in which to explore north, north central or northwest Ohio on our way back home to Brighton, Michigan. Any recommendations on campgrounds for big rigs (either full hookup or at least 50 amp) with good biking trails near tourist destinations? Thank you!

Check out Sauder Village in Archbold Ohio. Its right off the turnpike and well worth the visit.
They have a website.

Born2RV.....I forgot to mention in my post that Sauder Village had a campground and glad you found it. We were there this July and enjoyed our stay.
Another tip for you since your going there.....it costs $30/person to get into the village however we purchased a 2 for 1 pass on Groupon. Not sure if they still offer this but worth checking out.

Mohican State Park near Loudenville ( about an hour south of CP.) has the state park and about 10 private campgrounds nearby. It's the canoeing capital of the Midwest.

Or East Harbor State Park. just west of CP. You can take a ferry over to Put-in-Bay and over to Marblehead Lighthouse.

East Harbor pics

(One note: since these pictures were taken at East Harbor State Park I heard they took a lot of ash trees out)

We are partial to East Harbor. We camp here often during the summer. This park is also a PA park during the week if you belong. The beach is nice and shallow. I would say unless you are camping at cedar point this would be the best alternative... IMO. Their is also a small water park down the road from east harbor as well.

This is not too far from East Harbor and a nice quiet park. Closer to ferry docks. We have stayed here as well. If East Harbor is full this is our alternative.

Maybe to far south for you. Millerburg Ohio. Large Amish community We stayed at Scenic Hill RV park. They have free fire wood there. Campground is within a mile of downtown where there are several shops & resturants. Awesome Amish gardens & flowers. Very well kept up.
North central Ohio.

Also at Gettysburg we went to the Visitors center and they furnished us a guide to show us the battlefields.

The guide drives your car and stops at several different sights. We did a three hour tour. I think there was a 5 hour tour also. Don't remember the exact cost but it was well worth the money. The guide gives you different options and designs the three hours to suit your needs.

Thank you, all! We've filled our two weeks all except for the last two nights. Any recommendations north, west or east of Sauder Village in Ohio?
