Hi everyone! I humbly come to you looking for suggestions.
We are considering taking our vacation next year in the Shenandoah Valley. With so many more people having gotten into camping/RVing these days, you can never start looking, planning and reserving too early. Due to limited time off, our chosen time for vacation will be during the week of the 4th of July. We have a 27' TT and travel with another couple that owns a 32' 5th wheel. We were originally thinking about something in the Lexington or Natural Bridge area since I would like to see Natural Bridge, but there is so much to see or do along the Shenandoah Valley, we are open to suggestions for other locations, using it as a home base and taking day trips from there.
Between the four of us, we have a few requirements and preferences. First off, since we'll be staying in one place, using it as a home base for our sight seeing trips, but also as a place to just relax and chill out on some of those days, we'll be wanting a place that has full hook-up. We'll also be wanting a place that has good television reception, whether that be by antenna or cable. Another two requirements are good phone reception (if at all possible) and WiFi.
That takes care of the requirements. Some of the preferances, but not required, would be well spaced sites (don't want to be able to hear our neighbors snoring at night.
), something with a view of a lake, river creek, etc., a view of the mountains. One of our friends really doesn't like staying in KOAs or Jellystone campgrounds, so those might be out unless they don't look like your typical commercial campground. My husband says the more rustic, the better, but it's not a deal breaker. He just wants a place that has good roads to access it by and has friendly staff.
Well, there you have it. I will greatly appreciate your suggestions.
Thank you
