Looping at Ft Wilderness to see the decorations

We're considering renting a golf cart to go looping at The Fort to see the decorations at the campsites. Is it worth it?

We're staying at our DVC timeshare but camped at The Fort last July and had a blast.

We love it. Lights and decorations everywhere. Didn't make it this year, but have in the past and are tentatively planning on it again next year.

Be sure to go to the Hoop De Do show. We live 30 miles away and have gone to the show. Parked in the lot and took the free bus. So much fun and the food is outstanding.

We've been to Fort Wilderness twice now with the kids and both times I thought we'd just use the trolleys. After the first day we got a cart for the rest of our stay.

This past time we were there at the beginning of October and all of the Halloween decorations were out. We LOVED looping and seeing all of the decorations. I think my kids talk more about the decorations and driving around than our time at the parks!

Make sure to eat at the restaurant they have there. Best food in the park, in my opinion, and we just did a "dining tour" of pretty much every buffet and character dining experience. Awesome breakfasts and great fried chicken.

We live in Orlando and hit Ft Wilderness at least 3 time a year. We have a 6 year old and usually bring one of her friends for a night or two. Renting a golf cart for the Christmas lights has been the tradition for the last few years. Some old the displays are nothing short of amazing. "Steve's Trees" and a Pirates of the Carribean themed display were our favorites this year. I can't post pictures from my iPad very easily but I'll share some later today once I get back to my desktop.

We always rent a golf cart at Christmas. Kinda pricy at The Rat, but so worth it at Christmas. The rest of the year when we go we walk or use bikes and try to camp at loops near the ferry boats that take you right to the Magic Kingdom.

Are you using the dedicated IRV2 app on the iPad ? It's WAY easier to post photos from the app than using a browser on a desktop! If you use apple products and took the photos from one device - by using the iCloud the photos are available from every device simultaneously. Of course if you just used a regular camera, you had to use a computer with a card reader or USB port ..... 😃

Leaving the Fort tomorrow after spending the past two weeks here in loop 1400. Didn't see all the decorations but saw one in 1600 loop that must have had 75 or more inflatable Christmas decorations. Not sure if this a reoccurring display or not.
