Going to be staying in the Louisville, KY area soon and looking for a nice RV park with decent access to the city. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

It might be to far off for you but when we visited Louisville we stayed in Charlestown State Park. It was about a 25 minute one-way drive to Louisville but we enjoyed the surroundings and the price was excellent.

We're visiting family in south Louisville area and have stayed 8 nights at Grandma's RV Park in Shepherdsville south of Louisville on I-65. Convenient for us and not too expensive. Clean level sites but cramped and no ambiance. We spent most days with family so we didn't care. Biggest issue is Grandpa. Obnoxious SOB. Had family visiting to see our new rig, we paid visitor fee and then after an hour he kicked them out. The reviews about him are accurate. When his son is here he is much more accommodating and customer focused. There is a KOA a couple miles away we looked at but most sites can't handle 40 ft rig and didn't look very level. Also twice the cost.

We chose to tolerate and ignore Grandpa for the convenience to our family. We head out tomorrow.

Grandma's in Shepherdsville is convenient to Louisville but I wouldn't want to stay over a couple of days. Easy access to the I-65. Beware, they do have a LOT of rules, mostly concerning pets. Better be able to carry your pet across the campground to the edge of the park where the grass is and the only place to walk your dog, if it were to poop before you got to the grass there could be trouble. If I had a pet I would probably choose another campground.

We stay at Grandma's on our way south for the winter. If you follow the rules you will have no issues. And the price is great.
