How difficult is the drive to get there? Steep, curvy, narrow? I am not comfortable with mountain roads so was just wondering...

Which pull-through sites would you recommend?

Follow the directions they offer, I-40 to exit 412, Deep Springs road is a 2 lane country road, from I-40 the resort is 3.9 miles..........very easy drive..........I had my enclosed trailer with me and I am 70' long.......no problems at all.
Site #133 is a really long pull through, and you can pull into it from ether direction, facing south at the lake or north into the resort.....the other pull throughs are smaller and in the same row at the other end of the row.......you can see what I mean when you look at the map.... http://www.anchordownrvresort.com/reservations/ ,
the other pull throughs are on top of the hill and they all face north when in them.

This is what the pull-throughs look like on top of the hill.......some one was in #19, so I did not take a photo of the site, but here is your fire place your are going to stay warm by........on #19.........they are all a work of art!
Being on the only fireplace pull-though in that row and being on the end of that row, there is a beautiful landscape/flower bed in your front yard.........not to sure about the flower's in November though

We're contemplating booking a group trip here. Any advice from anyone who's been here with a group? We can be flexible as far as time of year, but I'm thinking fall would be our first choice. The group would probably consist of about 6-10 units. Best sites to request?? Suggestions for things to see and do in the area would also be appreciated. Thanks!

You will love site 19.

It comes with wonderful views.

In August when we were there, we were also up "on the ridge" but in site 7, just across from 19, sort of.

Every afternoon, storms would develop in the mountains and they were spectacular to watch and sometimes come across Douglas Lake. Not sure how it will be in the Fall other than beautiful colors.

One suggestion, rent a golf cart, unless you already have one. The place is very hilly - and if you want to go down by the pool or lake, not sure if the pool will be open, it is all down hill. If the pool is closed and you have no reason to go down by the lake, you'll be set. It is walkable BTW, but I think fairly steep walk in places.

We are in site 23 next year.........

Enjoy.
