Macon, GA

We are heading from KY to FL and Macon, GA is about 1/2 on our trip. Can anyone give me a suggestion of a GOOD RV park close to I-75 that would be good? We're looking for late-checkin place and staying briefly 1 night. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest a pilot or flying J plenty of parking at most, and room to walk pets play with them at most, plus fuel that's good and cheap.
If your checking in late anyways !

Good campground just off I 475 at Macon.

Camping At Lake Tobesofkee

If you can make Exit 127 South of Macon Twin Oaks is great with big pull thrus just off I75.

Lake Tobesofkee is a nice stop over. Ask for a drive thru near the lake, scenic, quiet, cheap. We have stopped there 3 times as the first stop outside of Florida.

I'm heading up to Tennessee over the Thanksgiving break. I looked at the ones around Macon and chose Twin Oaks at Elko, Georgia, just south of Macon. It looked like it had some great ratings, although I did not see any restaurants or fast food joints on that intersection with I-75.

There is a rest area on I-75 just below Forsythe and right above the Macon bypass. It is set up for overnite parking for RVs only in one section. You might check that out. It is in the trees and there is a lot of truck traffic in and out the rest of the rest area. If that is not to your liking, there is a number of other places south of Macon that you could park for a few hours sleep. There is still construction going on further south. Personally I had rather deal with those narrowed lanes during daylight hours even though the traffic is less, the trucks are running faster
