Madeline island WI and 35ft RV ferry ride...

Anyone taken the ferry to Madeline island with or without their RV? Thoughts, experiences? Considering booking the campground. Get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about the ferry ride in the RV....

2000 Suncruiser 35U....New to me in 2013 with only 13000 miles!!!

I've taken my 40' DP on a ferry in New Brunswick, the only issue
is the angle of entry and exit on and off the ferry, so you do not
drag the back of the coach. I was on a small ferry, and with the
toad connected, I took up the entire length. They put me in
the center, with cars on both sides. It was very cool !

I haven't taken the ferry, but we did a boat ride around the island area Gorgeous. What camp ground are you looking at,I would love to go back up there. Last time we did that trip was with a Classic Car club. Fun

We just stay at the Dalrymple Park Campground and bike to the ferry, and on the island. On the island Big Bay State Park is a much nicer campground than Big Bay Town Park and you can walk all the way up to the town park from the state park along the beach.

Madeline Island

We toke the ferry across last September. I hit bottum with my Buick.On the way over . Island is laid back and peacefull On the way back I had help driving on and no problem. There was a seim-truck on the way back, no problem, there is Big Bay campground on the Island . Ashland to the south has turned in to a fun location with the super murials on the building all over town second to none. The views from Bayfield and Madeline Island are fantastic.
