Maine campground info

Is there a Maine campground within walking distance of lobster pounds, other restaurants or some shopping? We will be driving up next summer without a toad.

There are several on the roads between Ellsworth and Bar Harbor and Acadia National park. There are restaurants near by too.
Be aware you will pay dearly for the water side views. $100 per night for a campsite is not unheard of.
You might be better off staying a little further west and renting a car for a couple days.

Several campgrounds in the Wells, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport area that are on the local trolley route. Easy to get to good dining.
There is also a bus system in the Acadia area, that runs past many of the campgrounds.
There are several campgrounds in both areas that will run you closer to $50/night.
