As any Mainer knows, there are two "Maines", one is the touristy coastal areas full of tourists, and the other one is inland.
If you aint been to Moosehead Lake Chummy, you aint been to Maine. Most Mainers are glad that the tourists have not discovered the other Maine.
I could suggest some very nice areas and interesting places but I'd have to keep it a secret. Kinda like your favorite fishing hole.....

Go inland or up coutry young man..............You won't be sorry.

bdaball is right!! We are licky enough to have great friends scattered all over Maine and there are places inland and in upper Maine that are just awesome!

I was planning to stay in Acadia National park till I found that tree branches limit hight to 11'
