Manatee Hammock CG in Titusville, FL

has anyone stayed at manatee hammock cg hwy i(bellwood) titusville,fl area? what did you think of this cg, any other cg in titusville that you could recommend...would prefer full hook-ups and cable.

We've stayed at manatee hammock. It's VERY shaded. Quiet. Mosquitoes evenings and nights. I think they have cable. We were there in a 40' MH. Very good place to watch a shuttle takeoff if one is scheduled at time of your stay.

I don't know about other CG's in that area

Small pool live near there and stayed several times. Very shaded and on the river. Long pier great view of shuttle launch. Yes mosquitos and quiet. Look at Brevard county parks on line for more info

We are there now. Full hookups, but no cable. We are used to state parks, so seems crowded to us and we can hear significant road noise. We've only seen one mosquito in three days here. We love the Merritt Island NWR, Indian River, Mosquito Lagoon, and good fishing, so it is worth it to us.

thanks for the replies. we are going to try this out. the mosquito problem is probably bad in hot weather, not this time of the year.

what are the exit number or direction from 95 to the park? the person we spoke to was no able to give directions other than off a1a. are you there for the feb. 24 space launch? thanks

The launch date had not been set when we made our reservations here. We will miss the launch by just three days. This is a great place to view them.
