Spent two weeks there in February. Very nice park. Sites are well maintained with enough room that you don't feel like you'll disturb your neighbor if you sneez. Water and electric at each site, dump station was easy to get in and out. Cell coverage is marginal at best. Often could not connect from our site, however we could drive up, he road a bit and get a connection. TV reception is poor, not a big deal because we spent most of our time outdoors.
You can rent kayaks on site and there are nice trails to hike. The manatees were in and we spent many hours kayaking to watch them.
It will definitely be one of our stops next year.
BTW: We spent four months in Florida over the winter, mostly in state parks. Some Florida state parks are a little better than others but all of them were good to very good. Weren't disappointed in any of them.

We enjoyed our stay there in October very much. I always make a record of our favorite sites in each place we stay, but at Manatee Springs I simply said "they're all nice."

faye: I'd like to suggest that you, and others, include some description of your camping equipment in your signature. It can help narrow responses to those appropriate for your specific needs. As example, there are a lot of beautiful state parks we've stayed in over the years that would be outstanding for a family in a tent camper or small travel trailer but would be inaccessible to anyone in a large 5th wheel or motor home.

Those signatures are not just for "bragging", but can enhance your IRV2 experience.

we have changed so much in the last 2 years, from class a to 5th wheel and now 31 ft. tt, we are retired and older and the current tt layout is what we think we like, at least for the time, but can't tell when the urge to change will occur. thanks for all the suggestions
