Question Maumee Bay State Park, Ohio, Recommendations??

We're planning our first trip to an Ohio State Park in early May, and because of distance - we are looking at Maumee Bay State Park. Any good sites to recommend? We have a 40' deisel pusher with a wranger toad. We like sun - not shade. Thank you!

You've picked a beautiful state park. You aren't gonna have to worry about getting enough sun, the sites there open.

As for sites, I base my search on looking at the campground map, Google Earth or Bing'ing the address so I can see the layout of the land & then checking the ODNR website & looking at the site dimensions. I think all the site pads are 50x11, so it's just a matter of the "acreage" you want between you & the site beside you. We're going to try to get to MB this season & the sites I've got earmarked that'll fit our coach (with toad parked at an angle on the pad) with the most room are:
16, 200, 209,238 or 250. All of which are no smaller than 65x65.

Once you know what dates you'll be there, post in the North Central Forum & you never know, you might get some company.

BorntoRV,
You have picked a good clean run park, we stayed many times in a 40ft diesel pusher and it's all sunny and level pads.
Nice W/D area and all around helpful people there.
We use to have our Buckeye card but since we are registered here in Florida now it's a bit higher in cost but well worth the stay.

Ohio started a new discount program last month. Here is a link all about it. Ohio State Parks Reward program . If you had camped in a Ohio State Park last year they were going to give you credit for it. Basically you get points for every $ you spent on camping, lodges and cabins. $1 spent = 20 points. Then you turn in your points for "free" days of camping or nights in a lodge or cabin. From my stays (nights) last year I earned 2-1/2 days of free camping so far. I believe it is good for out of state residents too. Lori might know for sure....
