That's a great time to be here. Do you mountain bike? Why are you planning on staying there? It is a great area, I have not been myself. The reason I ask is that there are other good options around the metropolitan area. I like to stay along the lower Salt River on Tonto National Forest. Six bucks a night. Additionally, there is free camping in the forest close by too. The other county parks are wonderful!

One of my favorite parks!! Anything in South Loop 43-80 is fabulous. North loop is older and a few sites are rather unlevel. South Loop has huge, enormous sites with great views.

We just stayed there last week. July 2nd. Daytime temps were 5F cooler than Phoenix. They went the extra mile to accomodate us. Had fun in the casino, was really quiet as well.
