We were just in Pigeon Forge- OMG, Las Vegas strip for kids! There are trolleys from many of the campgrounds. A little too commercial for my taste, and VERY expensive, but it is a resort destination after all. We were blown away by the miles of go-kart tracks, mini golf and fancy attractions. Being a Titanic victim's descendant, I thought the museum was excellent, but probably not so interesting for kids. I'm more a national park kind of guy...

This post is right on, if staying on the Tennessee side. Things are a lot quieter on the North Carolina side.
