Mesa Big Rig site Suggestions

We are traveling to Mesa, in our 45' Class A arriving the middle of January and want to stay a month. Could you recommend a good site? We re looking for a modern, clean well managed site with lots of activities.

While not in Mesa, We stayed at Cal-Am in Surprise this summer for a few nights. It's mostly park models, but they have a section that is for Coaches. Sites are probably about 80ft long/pull thru's Nice club house with lots of stuff going on and a nice pool with a bar. Cal-Am also has several parks right in Mesa... I just don't know what they are like.

A few years ago we stayed at the Val Vista in Mesa which is also a Can-Am resort, and also has a separate section for RVs Cal-Am Resorts -#

We enjoyed our stay as there were lots of activities.

Mesa Spirit

We'll be staying at Mesa Spirit in (not surprisingly) Mesa, AZ next Monday/Tuesday. We haven't been there, but we have relatives who spend every Winter there in a 42' MH. Lots of activities and socializing.

Another one is Venture Out, on 5001 E. Main St. This is one of the nicest resorts in the valley, we have 16 new pull thrus, don't know what the occupancy is, I know they can be hard to get, without reservations. There are also a few empty lots in the resort for rent. I don't think, there is a resort in the valley any better.

You got to contend with the Snowbirds. Try Mesa Spirit RGV Resort.

Most parks in the area are covered up with park models, very hard to find a nice Coach site in the winter. Lots of high profile sports events plus auto auction in January. You might want to look farther south to Casa Grande.

Unless it's changed, you won't find Park Model trailers at Fort McDowell RV. You'll actually have mountain views!

Eagle View RV Resort | (Asah Gweh Oou-o), the next generation of RV Resorts on the eastern edge of Scottsdale, Arizona

Someone suggested Casa Grande instead. If you're planning to do things in the greater Phoenix area it would be a very long day trip. Casa Grande doesn't offer nearly as much to do as the Phoenix area - concerts, museums, hiking in the gorgeous mountains, etc. Casa Grande also gets serious dust storms. We've been in two during December/January just driving through.

Canyon Vista Resort in Gold Canyon, AZ which is just east of Mesa. Well Actually Apache Junction is just east of Mesa, Gold Canyon is Just east of Apache Junction. Anyway this is a very nice resort but Timewise you might have a problem since it's probably a little late to get in for a month.

Also the Arizonan RV resort about 3 miles or so east of Canyon Vista. Also very nice but also could be booked.

There are tons of parks in this area (Mesa, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon & surrounding). Problem is there are also tons of people who spend the winter here, so I suggest you start working the phones today! My brother in Missouri books his space in Apache Junction a year in advance. Good luck.
