I don't think trailers are allowed on the road up to the visitor center. They have to be left at the entrance parking lot. The road to the center is quite a twisty/turny one and could be "white knuckles" for some people. I thought it was "awesome", wife did NOT>>> We stayed at Mancos a passport America campground, but it may no longer be Passport. Drove the toad to the park, and it took a full day to see all the sights. Would have taken a lot longer if we did the guided tours, but our time was limited. When we left we headed up to "Wolf creek pass". That was quite an experience.

The new visitor center is open, just off highway 160. RVs and towed vehicles can go to the Morefield campground if you have a reservation. "Small" RVs can drive through the park - check with the rangers for any size limits. I've seen "small" class C RVs inside the park. I've also seen tag axle tour buses, but they have commercial authorization and restricted parking spaces.

Wolf Creek Pass? Yeah, we live at the base of the pass, and travel it frequently. Drive safe and take your time. Last week, a trucker lost control, and there were 44,000 pounds of "mashed" potatoes all over the pass. Fortunately, he escaped with no injuries.

Every June we stay at Priest Gulch Campground. It a lovely quite campground right on the Dolores river. We do days trips from this campground to Mesa Verde, Durango and Telluride.
