MH campgrounds near Savannah GA

Planning on leaving FL to head back north to reality March 6th and looking to stay 1 night near Savannah GA...
The reviews I've read on campgrounds around Savannah are mixed at best except for the preferred Skiddaway State Park which seems to be best but not available for this time period....
Reccomendation for maybe next best?

River's End on Tibee island. City/county park We have stayed there and it is adequate. Tite sites but FHU and a short walk down to the beach.

For a one nighter, I would go with:

RV Park Reviews :: Hardeeville, South Carolina ( SC ) - RV Parks and Campground Reviews

Its not too far out of the way. Take I-16 into the city then pickup US-17 to 315. It is pretty much the main drag between Savannah and Hilton Head without using I-95. Big long level pull thrus. The two state parks are better bets for longer stays.

We like the KOA for an overnight. It's close to 95 and a pleasant atmosphere under the trees.

We stayed overnight here on our way home. $21.00 with our Passport America.

We are at Hardeeville right now. There are some long term RVs but the sites are not junked up. There are both pull thrus and back-ins. There is some road noise but it is not intrusive. Seems to be a fair amount of RVs stopping for a night. Passport America rate for 50 amp is $21 but I think it is not valid during the month of March. We will stay here again.

Thank you ... will be checking web info for availability for Hardeeville and Rivers End on Tibee Island as soon as I'm positive that 3/6 is the date...

we found Hardeeville the very best campground for any length of time. Only 7 miles from Savannah's hitoric district, lots of trees and grass, clean, inexpensive compared to the rest. Highly recommend it!

We lived in Richmond Hill for 5 years before going full time. It is exit 90 off I-95. There is a KOA at exit 87. It is very nice one in a nice area with plenty of nice shops and not far from historical Savannah. Do not go to Waterway. Also bring lots of bug spray. Anywhere you go in southern Ga. And S.C. Will be full of bugs in the spring, especially since it's been a mild winter
