I first read about this place in Fields in the Country Discoveries Magazine. Does anyone remember that? I loved that mag, it had so many reviews on neat places to eat, travel, sight-see, etc. Then they went out of publication and I almost died. That is how I discovered the Steens loop in eastern OR, which is a must see in a 4WD or all wheel drive vehicle. It was absolutely beautiful. I was standing on a rim looking straight down 5,000' to the valley floor and out as far as one could see. The wind was fierce, so I decided my wife at 105#'s should not venture far from the truck or she may have ended up in Idaho somewhere.

Nothing like a thick creamy milkshake, my favorite is vanilla, and a GOOD Reuben sammich to soothe the soul.
