mineral wells state park?

Anyone been there? Can you recommend a site. We went once with travel trailer and it was a bad experience but it was our first time out. We want to give it another try.

Stayed there 4 nights last fall. Very few other campers there, but lots of deer. Don't remember the site #, but the rangers said it was one of the best - a stone's throw from the lake & near the showers. Rangers were friendly & helpful - even assisted with backing into site. Would definitely stay again. (only negative was driving over the dam. scary!)

Thanks for sharing. We are planning on giving it another try but are reluctant since our very first time ever to go out in our travel trailer was there and it was a bad experience for us. I think maybe it was because we were newbies.
