Mississippi Gulf Coast Trip

We will be heading down to the Hollywood Casino campground in Bay St. Louis next month (weather permitting). We stayed at the Silver Slipper campground in Waveland last year and drove the beach highway in our toad - Great drive! We thought the Silver Slipper campground was great since in was right on the water, but we want to experience a different campground this year. Has anyone stayed at the Hollywood campground? I've read the RV Park Reviews but I was hoping someone had more insight (like maybe recommending a specific campsite - we have a 37 ft. motorhome). Also it looks like Greenville, Alabama is a good stopover for us. Has anyone tried to overnight at the Walmart at I-65 exit 130? It appears to be an easy on/off the interstate for us. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

We have stayed Hollywood many times because my wife likes the slot machines. The campground is great, they have pick-up vehicle to casino every 15-20 minutes or it is just a short walk. All sites are paved with 50 amp, plenty of trees for shade and I don't think they have any bad sites.Much different than Silver Slipper.I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for your input.
We will be staying 1 or 2 weeks. Did they offer any discounts? (Good Sam, etc.) Or did they comp you any nights?

Buccaneer State Park campground just opened back up and it is fantastic. Right across the street from the beach and close to both casinos. We stayed there Lin June. Here's a pic of our double site. We travel with the FR Lexington.

Thanks. I never knew about this website. I've been thru the Greenville area but never noticed the Walmart.

We always look forward to a few nights at the Bay Hide Away RV Park, 8360 Lakeshore Rd.
in Bay St. Louis when we are passing by that way. It's safe, clean, well maintained and the people are great. It's a short distance from the Silver Slipper and it is also a Passport America half-price campground.
