Snow level last night (Fri) was about 200ft above me by Nevada Lake between Lincoln and Drummond.

Yellowstone

We have been in Yellowstone now for 2 days. It’s been sunny, raining, and a dusting of snow, but it is manageable with layers of clothing. The roads are very drivable. 2 years ago we did GNP in early May. Some of the upper road was closed still, and it was cold, but would do it again in a second. We were going to stop in September on our way South from Alaska, but we could not even see the mountains because of Smoke. I think you are right on track for a June trip. Later and fires are a problem, earlier and its beautiful but chilly

In 2017 we pulled into Yellowstone Memorial Day. Lewis Lake still had 2 feet of snow on top of the ice (7800') but once we got to Bridge Bay Campground (also 7800') only a little snow in the shady areas of the campground. Beautiful weather the next 2 weeks, highs in the mid 60's and 70's and lows in the 40's. Pulled out June 13th and they were expecting 12" of snow...the next day.

The only advice I can give is that come June 15th the busy tourist season starts and the roads in the park will get busy as will the parking lots. Get out on the road by 8am, get a parking spot at one of the geyser areas. Then go to the Old Faithful parking lot for lunch, as it is a huge parking lot. The main issues are the small parking lots.

We are planning on being at Yellowstone the second week of June/2020. I want to be there right before it gets crazy crowded. From Yellowstone we head to Glacier NP.
