Misty River RV Resort

I came upon the website of this place which is located 5 miles from Townsend TN. in a town call Walland. The site stated that the campground was still under construction but would be open in the spring of 06. I emailed the owners and they replied that they were open for business, I then asked if they had any pictures of the campground , and they replied no not at this time .

Has anyone stayed at this campground or driven through it ?

IF so I would appreciate hearing your impressions of the campground.

Hmm, wish I could help you out, I've driven through Walland ( what there is of it) many times, but I don't remember seeing anything that would interest me.
Maybe the campground is off the beaten path a ways.
I do however recommend Tremont Outdoor resort located in Townsend itself.
It was previously Tremont Hills, but they have new owners and are updating the place even more as we speak.

Or I hear good things about Big Meadow Family Campground in Townsend if you are looking for something with easy access.

We went to Misty River for Memorial Day weekend and had a great time.
If you turn at the PB Gas station in Walland and cross the river, as soon as you gross the river, turn LEFT and go down ½ a mile and its on the left. Jimmy & Diane that owns the park cooked hot dogs, had games for the kids like egg toss ,sack races and a bounce house. My kids had egg in the hair and lost the sack race but we had a good time. The kids loved the pool and I loved the hot tub. We tube the river and never could catch any fish, we saw them just could not get them to bite.

The sites are level and wide with lots of pull tru and all of them are full hook ups with cable and wifi. We have a 36' 5th wheel and it was easy to get in & out of the park. There bathrooms are very clean with private rooms in them. You don't have to share them with anyone else and they have lots of them. There website is www.mistyriverrv.com. We are going to make Misty River our place to go this summer.
